KALAMAZOO GOSPEL MISSION

Kalamazoo Gospel Mission offers Emergency Provisions, such as shelter, food, clothing and more, to families and individuals facing hardships. Recovery Services help individuals overcome addictions and poor work histories to regain a stable lifestyle through long-term programming. Through Education & Life Skills training, all residents find resources to help them break the cycle of homelessness.

KALAMAZOO LOAVES & FISHES

Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes is the largest provider of emergency food to hungry people in Kalamazoo County. They strive to provide high quality food, to develop high quality client access and support and to nurture a strong volunteer base. Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes works toward a hunger-free community.

KALAMAZOO DREAM CENTER

Matt 25:37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? [38]When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? [39]When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' [40]"The King will reply, `I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'“ Dream Center resources have served 1,168 households since January 2009.

RED BIRD MISSION

Red Bird Mission and Clinic have been providing ministries in this region of the Appalachian Mountains since 1921. Chronic poverty, lack of jobs, poor housing, and rugged mountainous terrain provide obstacles to a fuller life for the area's residents. Red Bird Mission strives to meet these needs through` Education, Health and Wellness, Community Outreach, Economic Opportunity, and Community Housing Improvement.

HENDERSON SETTLEMENT

Henderson Settlement's mission is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through service to the community by meeting basic needs in Appalachia. The settlement began in 1925 when Methodist minister Hiram Frakes came to the Laurel Fork Valley in Southeastern Kentucky with a dream of educational, economic and spiritual reform for the community. Today it consists of 1,600 acres and provides multiple programs and activities for the community.

WESLEY FOUNDATION

The Wesley Foundation is a United Methodist campus ministry that spans across the nation. We are partnered with the local branch on the West Michigan University campus, which also serves the students of Kalamazoo College and KVCC, and support the efforts of the ministry nationwide.

INTERNATIONAL CHILDCARE

International Child Care is a Christian health development organization. Operating in Haiti since 1967 and in the Dominican Republic since 1988, ICC is working to change the conditions of poverty that impact health and well-being.

LA ROMANA

The mission is to improve the lives of those living in what has been termed abject slavery or indentured servitude in the La Romana Province of the Dominican Republic. The principle project is the building of the Good Samaritan General Mission Hospital and supporting the programs of the Maranatha Church. Their work spans many areas of support ranging from Family Planning, Health Care and Education.

MUJILA FALLS AGRICULTURE

Mujila Falls Agriculture Centre a UMC Conference owned farm in Zambia, Africa with a multi-year task before it. In the past ten years, they have greatly improved nutrition, health and the living standards of families throughout the area through introduction of new crops, animals and methods of farming.
