Spirit Centered: Through the Holy Spirit, we are called, led, and empowered into the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Family-Focused: With a balance of the traditional and contemporary, Pathfinder equips families to live out their faith together and encourages intergenerational ministry to bless and edify the church family.
As a Global Methodist Church, Pathfinder is steeped in the Evangelical Wesleyan - Arminian understanding of our faith. In other words:
The Bible is the Highest Authority
Experience, reason, and tradition must all align with Scripture.
Called to Evangelize
In keeping with the Great Commission, it is crucial for each Christian to personally encourage non-Christians to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Salvation is Through the Cross Alone
Jesus Christ's death on the cross is the only sacrifice that could remove the penalty of our sin. Therefore, only those who trust Jesus Christ alone as their Savior receive God's free gift of eternal salvation.
Redemption is Universal
Christ died for all.
Grace is Free
The price for eternal salvation has already been paid by Jesus Christ. It is not gained by works but by faith alone in Him.
Empowered with Free Will
God gives us the choice to say yes or no to His offer of free grace and universally offered redemption.
Led by the Holy Spirit
The church is created, empowered, and led by the Holy Spirit.
God is Three-in-One
God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father is the Almighty who made heaven and earth - everything that we can see and can't see.
The Son (Jesus Christ) came down from Heaven for our Salvation and was born of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. After ascending into heaven, He now sits at the right hand of the Father and will come again.
The Holy Spirit is the giver of life, the breath of God.
The Church is More than a Building
The Church is not limited to a physical space. It is universal, made up of all Christ-followers, united by our salvation.
