Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
My name is Donald Wolfgang and I serve as the Senior Pastor here at Pathfinder Church. My beautiful wife of over 30 years is Jacqueline. We have three adult boys, Corey, Brandon and Ian. I was born in Pottsville, PA, grew up near Detroit and we now reside in Portage, MI.
My first career after high school was in the US Navy. I spent 24 years in the service of our nation as a nuclear submariner. I retired with the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 2006 and have been in full time ministry ever since. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Manufacturing Technology from Eastern Michigan University with a cross town degree in Military Science at University of Michigan, a Master’s degree in Financial Mgt. from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master’s in Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.
I am an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and have served several churches in the South Georgia Conference before being appointed to Pathfinder here in Michigan. Appointments include: Associate Pastor at Kingsland 1st UMC, Senior Pastor at Woodbine UMC, Waverly Hall and Ellerslie churches. Jackie and I moved back home to Michigan in July of 2016.
