Midwest MISSION

We are Christians who work to show God's love in a practical way to those in need in their time of crisis.
Founded by the United Methodist Church (UMC), all are welcome to engage in this ministry. Supplies are given freely through our trusted partner non-profits who work with people from all places and backgrounds.

Our mission is to bring the hearts and hands of God's people together to transform resources into humanitarian relief.

Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Any Soldier Inc.

Any Soldier Inc. started in August 2003 as a simple family effort to help the soldiers in one Army unit; thus, our name. Due to overwhelming requests the Any Soldier® effort was expanded to include any deployed member of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Around the World

Koinonia Man Community Christian School

Meet Enza and Caitlin Kone! We have been and continue to share the dreams of our school with anyone that will listen. We have grown and learned so much and are continually thankful for the people that offer their time (and food) to us. Learning this year has made us confident again and again that this IS a community school, as we can’t do it alone.

*Currently* We are serving as Global Partners of Grace Klein Community in the US. This summer we are working with a high school internship program. Later this year we will continue to share with friends, churches and schools as we spread our vision for Koinonia MCCS and raise funds.

Thailand Now

Nhia Wahn & Mao Her they are serving as mentors with the Pioneer Pastor Program in Thailand. Many Thai people first hear the good news of Jesus while they are working in a large city. There, those who come to know the Lord are able to experience the joys of becoming part of the family of God. Continuing to walk with God can become more difficult when a believer needs to return to a hometown where no church exists. Currently, 73% of sub-districts in Thailand have no church at all.
Only 6% of the villages have been reached with the gospel. These statistics above remind us the work is not done.
For this reason, we partner with Thai Christians through the Pioneer Pastor Program to fulfill Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Ethiopian Pastor Partnership

The Great Lakes and Heartland Annual Conferences have been invited to a partnership with our sisters and brothers in Ethiopia. A part of this invitation for the Great Lakes is to support pastoral families in Ethiopia for education. There is no salary subsidy, conference health insurance, or retirement program for our Ethiopian pastors. Each sponsorship supports up to two children from each pastoral in Ethiopia. Once the funds are received, we trust the pastors to use the money for their children in the following ways: to pay school fees, to buy school books, to clothe their children in school, to feed those children.
